Matthew Michaud is a lecturer in the School of Communication at the University of the Fraser Valley, Canada. He holds an MA in Applied Linguistics from the University of Newcastle, Australia, and is currently pursuing a doctorate at the University of Bath, specializing in AI and digital communication, intercultural communication, and sociology of work. With over 15 years of teaching experience across institutions in Australia, Canada, England, and Japan, Matthew focuses on professional communication, intercultural education, and educational technologies. His research interests include labour economics, the sociology of education, precarious employment, and the implications of artificial intelligence in educational and workplace contexts. He actively supports initiatives in Indigenous education and intercultural communication, demonstrating a strong commitment to innovation, inclusion, and educational equity.
